Nicholas successfully utilises his 35 years’ experience of business, third sector, sporting and professional leadership, management and administration to assist others to see through complex problems to the heart of the issue, allowing high performance teams to focus on the nub of issues, leading to simple and complex resolutions.

His diverse commercial background includes having worked in the military, manufacturing, service, tourism, aviation and business support sectors, both in the UK and on the African Continent, giving a unique perspective to his work.

Nicholas has been a Business Mentor for the Welsh Government for the last 6 years, helping organisations from such diverse backgrounds as Urban Development, through specialist and technical services to Charitable third sector organisations.

Over the last 27 years, he has built up a wealth of experience leading, developing and enhancing organisations across the public, private, and voluntary sectors.  During this time, he has successfully initiated and facilitated numerous growth and diversification strategies.

Nicholas is a great believer in development through research and analysis. He believes an organisation can only improve or change a situation if they fully understand how and why they got there, what base issues are underlying the situation and what impact that is having on the organisation. Only then can a clear path forward be defined, with the possible and achievable alternatives and the multitude of diverse opportunities open to the organisation being fully understood.

Nicholas is highly experienced at Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive and Prescriptive analysis techniques and methods in both a quantitative and qualitative environment. Employing these techniques allows Nicholas to assist organisations to focus on “What has happened”, “Why it happened”, “What is likely to happen”, and “How we can make it happen”. This range of analysis is vast and diverse but leads to a thorough understanding of the facts of the opportunity, problem or issue, quickly, effectively and with clarity, allowing decisions to be made from positions of knowledge and understanding.

Nicholas has led and facilitated organisational change for small private companies, and also for large, publicly listed organisations and Charitable Third Sector organisations. Having personally led the organic growth of a small manufacturing business, evolving it into a nationwide operational service provider, publicly listed on the LSE’s AIM, Nicholas has a wealth of experience in project development and management as well as organisational development and change.
